Post-Production Projects

Post-production and sound design projects from courses MMI436 and CCA353 at the University of Miami. Different DAWs and techniques used for different projects.

Sound Redesign - Scott Pilgrim (No Music)

Final Project for MMI436 (Post-Production), a class offered at the University of Miami. Audio was stripped entirely from the original clip, and everything was re-built from scratch by recording foley or utilizing sound effect libraries.

Recording dialogue was not required for this project, but I decided to include it for fun. As a future improvement, I would like to re-record the dialogue so it fits better.

DAW used: Logic Pro X

Original Clip from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (2010), a film directed by Edgar Wright.

Bad Lip Reading - Fantastic Mr. Fox

Project for CCA353 (Post-Production Sound Editing and Design), a class offered at the University of Miami. Assignment was based off the famous "Bad Lip Reading" videos on YouTube, where the original dialogue is replaced with a comedic lip reading. Audio was stripped entirely from the video clip, and everything was built from scratch by recording foley or utilizing sound effect libraries.

Vocal performance was done by a classmate, recording session was engineered by me. All other work for this project was done by myself.

DAW used: Avid Pro Tools

Original Clip from Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), a film directed by Wes Anderson.

Sound Design Project - "Sound Good Challenge"

Final Project for CCA353 (Post-Production Sound Editing and Design), a class offered at the University of Miami. There was no audio in the original clip, and everything was built from scratch by recording foley and utilizing sound effect libraries.

DAW used: Avid Pro Tools
