Electrical Circuits:
Music Engineering GigBox
Music Engineering GigBox soldered and built by Thomas Baker. Project was designed as a practical toolbox for music engineers, with features to help out on the job. Features include a DI box, power amplifier, and cable tester compatible with XLR, 1/4 inch TRS, and RCA cables.
Final Project for Audio Electronics (MMI401), a course offered by the University of Miami.

The "Original Circuit" is the circuit diagram for the original soldering kit, which was a pre-amplifier for an unbalanced signal. Modifications were made as shown, and the kit was repurposed to be a DI box.
Further modifications were made, as I wanted my DI box to work using a 9V battery rather than needing to plug it into a wall to operate. Original DC voltage source specification was 12V, so changes needed to be made in order to operate properly. Integrated Circuit was heavily distorting the signal and the output was louder than desired, so R2 and R7 (responsible for the input resistances for IC1A and IC1B) were each changed to a larger resistance and the issue was fixed.
